Ellie is a smart, energetic 19-year-old who strives to take advantage of the many opportunities to learn in different fields. She loves STEM and fills her schedule with all things tech including science, coding and robotics. She also designs, develops, builds and tutors students in KodeKLIX – a curriculum aligned digital technology teaching system. She was also a national finalist in the First Lego League robotics competition.
Ellie has an amazing imagination, likely inspired by 900+ books in her bedroom! When Ellie isn’t reading or doing tech she manages to run her small crochet business, Crochet by E.S.C. Ellie is kind-hearted, volunteers, and supports microfinance charities like Kiva and fundraises for development projects for World Vision.
In 2021, Ellie was the Keynote speaker at Murdoch University's WISE Women Conference where she spoke to over 250 female students and teachers about her role in STEM and to encourage others to follow her into the tech industry. Last year, she started volunteering at Edith Cowan University's Girls Programming Network. In January, she began the roles of Presenter and Ambassador for the science department of Edith Cowan University.
